My image "shine" is probably the favorite in my dA gallery and I'll tell you why. I am a huge fan of glossy, magazine-ready images that reek of complicated lighting and perfect re-touching but my style is developing into something rugged, more 'street' like but with an artistic flair. I don't mind blurs and uneven lighting as long as the mood of the image can be felt by the viewer. For all it's "faults", "shine" has the most emotion of any image in my gallery. It's the only one that warrants a second, deeper view. It's the only that will actually make you stop and wonder "Why did she submit
that?" It's staged but has a feeling of a candid capture, which is the ultimate goal of all of my pictures. I love it.
So
The mother of baby Maddox, that gorgeous newborn in my gallery, showed her
proofs from our shoot to a friend who happens to be the owner of a semi-prominent public relations firm
and now they want me to do the photography for their corporate events!! Um, I can't even begin to explain how exciting it is to get paid to party!

What's even more tremendous (and downright unbelievable) is that these corporate events feature many "famous" people so I'll be able to network like crazy.
I am
beyond excited about this! Yay for me!
On another note, I realize that a lot of the photography on this site has no function other than to solicit comments from other dA viewers. This isn't a
bad thing, as "bad" and "good" are relative to the individual and his/her goals. I encourage you to create art for whatever purposes you choose but don't limit yourself to this forum. The world is way bigger than deviantART!
Hold fast to your dreams, kiddos!

I like your gallery. It's nice and small, so It's easy to navigate, and there's no chance of not viewing all of your images and not loving each one of them. They all have so much thought and feeling put into them... it really makes me think about what you said in your journal about people posting things just for comments. I guess it's not always the best thing to do, but sometimes people just want acknowledgement (prolly spelt that wrong...), especially in this overwhelming hodgepodge of members where it seems as if only a handful of people are recognized for their talents, and 5 handfuls go ignored... and then there are the bucketloads of people who are talentless... but thats not for here.
Hmm... I originally wanted to just say hey and thanks for the great images, but I seem to have gone off on a tangent. My appologies...
have a great day, luv!
